Kati is an ex-photographer who specialized in weddings. Until recently, Kati was very successful in her photography business, but started to feel like the business was taking away from something much more important to her — her family.
When Kati started out, she had a very easy time identifying her ideal clients — her fellow millennials. She had a very easy time understanding them and catering to their needs since she was part of that group. Late-night texting and collaboration was already part of her world. She also knew the photographic style these folks liked — old school medium format film. This limited her image count and made her business more efficient, freeing up time to care for her clients and giving them a good customer experience.
While Kati isn’t in the business of photography anymore, she still loves photography more than ever and is creating it on her own terms with the ones she loves. She will tell you straight up what she thinks photography should be and also things she thinks don’t measure up. More than anything, letting go of the business has brought her the pure enjoyment of the art of photography.
